Congressional Essay Contest

The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA) in cooperation with the Washington Workshops Foundations is pleased to offer this amazing opportunity to high school juniors and seniors.  Winners of the essay contest receive an all expenses paid trip to the Congressional Seminar in Washington, DC, June 23-29, 2018.

Highlights:
  • 7 days in the nation's capital
  • Guest speakers on the legislative branch, federal government, and the media
  • Meet US Senators and Representatives
  • Visit the National Mall, Mount Vernon, The Pentagon, and the memorials and monuments of Washington, DC
  • Campus housing at a DC area university
  • Exposure to future career exploration
  • Breakfast and dinner each day of the seminar
  • Chartered motor coach transportation in and around the Washington, DC area
