Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement (AP) is a designation for courses that are taught at a college level. At the end of the course, students take a comprehensive AP exam. The cost of the exam is approximately $93. Many colleges will award college credit hours for the course if a student achieves a score of 3, 4 or 5 on the AP exam.  It is important, however, to check with each individual college/university to determine score requirements.  One free score report will be sent to the college designated on the AP exam answer document.

*Note:  Colleges typically award credit for AP exams after the student begins his/her freshman year of college.
